Fiber Optic Classes For All Technician Levels
Entering the fiber optics field is straightforward. We prepare you for field work through practical and affordable training. Our training team specializes in teaching students with little to no background in fiber optic technology. You can attend our courses in our classroom, online, on weekdays, and on weekends. Training for All Skill Levels. We offer fiber cable technician training for a wide range of skill levels. You earn Fiber Optic Association (FOA) and the Electronic Technician Association® International (ETA®) certifications upon passing the exam for your course. For our non-certification courses, you earn a Certificate of Completion.

Basic fiber optic certification training. These classes require no experience. You earn FOA CFOT or ETA FOI certifications.

Advanced FOA fiber certification. These classes are for graduates of our 4-day and 1-day FOA classes. You earn the FOA CFOS certifications.

Basic Fiber Optic Certifications
New trainees, experienced technicians, and managers can benefit from training and receive the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) certification on passing course exams. Certification may open possibilities, such as career advancement, or help you gain new business opportunities.
This program teaches fiber theory, basic hands-on skills, and offers FOA's CFOT certification upon passing the course exam. Online classes are scheduled upon request. Visit our 4-Day FOA CFOT page to learn more.
4-Day CFOT Standard Fee: $1595 Classroom ($1395 Online).

Our 1-Day course offers a theory refresh and no hands-on skills training, but adds certification to your work background. To attend this program, students must submit a resume with two years of fiber experience and pass FOA approval. Upon passing the course exam, you earn FOA CFOT certification. Course trainers teach fiber theory and hands-on skills used by in-house or independent contractor technicians. Students also earn the ETA's FOI certification upon passing the course exam. Online classes are scheduled upon request. Visit our 5-Day ETA FOI page to learn more.

Advanced FOA Fiber Optic Certification
These advanced classes build on skills learn in our FOA basic certification classes. We offer splicing, FTTH, or testing specialist training with FOA certification upon passing the course exam. To qualify for these courses, you need to pass our FOA 4-day or 1-day FOA CFOT certification classes. You may also provide proof of certification from the FOA. Advanced courses are scheduled by request for classromm and online options. Please call for availability and scheduling.
Increase your knowledge and become an FOA-certified fiber optic splicing specialist (CFOS/S). Advanced students learn advanced techniques, such as mid-entry and ribbon splicing. Visit our CFOS Splicing Specialist page for more information.

Add to advanced techniques to your expertise and earn the FOA's FTTH certification. In this class, trainees learn methods useful for subdivision or premises fiber installations, including working with splitters. Visit our CFOS FTTH Specialist page for more information.

SkillBuilder, Hands-On Job-Readiness Training for Techs
Our non-certification training teaches hands-on skills. These classes are a good option if you are interested in getting fiber optic skills or don't need certification immediately. These programs help you quickly enter the fiber optics field. FiberNexxt grads may also refresh their skills.
Standard Fee: $895 In Class; $695 Online
This class offers a path to job readiness and helps you develop fiber technician skills quickly. Learn basic splicing and testing skills in a 2-day session. Since this is a non-certification class, you receive a Certificate of Completion. Fees for this class can be credited toward our 4-day certification class.
