Our 1-Week Program Teaches Key Skills to New Fiber Techs

Want to ensure your new techs have key basic fiber optic skills? Our trainers share their expertise. We can help evaluate, guide, and provide field supervision for your new fiber techs in a 1-week program, with or without certification. Our training helps boost your team's productivity and strengthen your tech's confidence. This is training customized to your team's needs. Our training includes:

  • Cable preparation. Trainees learn to open and prepare fiber cables for splicing and testing.

  • Fusion splicing. Students learn about fusion splicers and splicing fiber in class.

  • Connector identification and termination. Trainees learn to properly identify connector types and terminate connectors.

  • Basic power testing. Students train to use a light source, power meter, and visual fault locator (VFL).

  • Field supervision. Our trainers work with your techs in the field to ensure proper execution of methods learned in class.

We offer non-certification job-readiness training or certification courses. Our certification training is overseen by the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) and the Electronics Technicians Association® International (ETA).
