With the FiberNexxt Way™, you'll learn step-by-step methods, including cable prep, fusion splicing, connector identification and termination, and basic testing skills in a work-like setting. Trainees must purchase online courses and toolkits separately. See below. We also offer additional SkillBuilder classes. All SkillBuilder courses are non-certification classes, and students earn a FiberNexxt Certificate of Completion. ​​

What You Learn In Our Course
We specialize in helping you learn the basic skills used in splicing and inside/outside plant installations. Our training covers:
Basic Cable Prep and Splicing
We show you how to prepare cable, including:

Opening and readying cable for termination.

Learning about a splicer.

Performing fusion splicing.
Basic Connector Termination and Testing
Trainers teach how to work with connectors, including:

Learning connector types
-
Terminating (connecting) cables to connector hardware, including mechanical connectors.

Testing cable for continuity.

Learning basic troubleshooting strategies.

​Practicing basic documentation skills.
How to Install a Live Fiber Network under supervision
Your instructor will oversee your work as you build a fiber network using skills you learned on Days 1 and 2, by:

Prepping cable for an assigned location in the classroom.

Splicing and terminating cable to a simulated communications office (CO), or a pedestal or dome enclosure.

Checking the network for a live signal.
What to Expect After Completing Our Course
Upon completing our course, you're ready to perform entry-level tasks as an in-house technician or independent contractor. Although we cannot guarantee job placement, we will refer you to our partners and former clients for work opportunities. Also, we will consider you for available openings on our projects. You will also have access to our instructors/contractors upon obtaining your first assignment. We're happy to answer questions and provide guidance for your first assignment after graduation and help you succeed.
