Refresher for Returning FiberNexxt Grads

Are you a FiberNexxt graduate? Has it been a while since you used your skills? This class may be for you. We guide you through FiberNexxt Way's core component: hands-on skills training. In this 2-day class, you'll practice key techniques for fieldwork and get personalized attention while sharpening your skills. This course is a non-certification class. You receive a Certificate of Completion.

Registration

Standard Registration. $795 in the classroom
Standard Online Registration. $595 online + $2500 Tech Toolkit (total online fee: $ 3095). This option is scheduled upon request, typically the first two weeks of each month. Tools are essential for hands-on training. Online students are responsible for purchasing their tools. You may purchase our toolkit or purchase tools on your own. If buying tools independently, please request a checklist to ensure you have all necessary tools. Please call to check availability and to schedule your class.

What You Learn

Our trainers review the skills learned in our CFOT class through hands-on exercies. Certification exam is not included in this option. Our instructors offer:

Basic Cable Prep & Splicing

You'll get a refresh on techniques, including:

Cable and connector termination, including mechanical connectors.
Testing cable for insertion loss.
Reviewing basic troubleshooting strategies.
Practicing basic documentation skills.

Basic Connector Termination & Testing

Get a review of these techniques, such as:

Practice cable preparation
Review splicing techniques,
Perform fusion and mechanical splicing

Install an In-Class Location

Connect a small network using your skills to:

Prep and terminate a simulated location
Conduct a signal test
Complete documentation

What to Expect After Completing Our Course

Upon completing our course, you should have the skills to perform entry-level tasks as an in-house technician or independent contractor. Although we cannot guarantee job placement, we will refer you to our partners and former clients for work opportunities. Also, we will consider you for available openings on our projects. You will also have access to our instructors/contractors upon obtaining your first assignment. We're happy to answer questions and provide guidance as much as possible to help you succeed.
