Are you a FiberNexxt graduate? Has it been a while since you used your skills? This class may be for you. We guide you through FiberNexxt Way's core component: hands-on skills training. In this 2-day class, you'll practice key techniques for fieldwork and get personalized attention while sharpening your skills. This course is a non-certification class. What You Learn

Our trainers help you recall the skills learned in the 4-day certification, including:

Basic Cable Prep & Splicing

You'll get a refresh on techniques, including:

  • Cable and connector termination, including mechanical connectors.

  • Testing cable for insertion loss.

  • Reviewing basic troubleshooting strategies.

  • ​Practicing basic documentation skills.

Basic Connector Termination & Testing

Get a review of these techniques, such as:

  • Practice cable preparation

  • Review splicing techniques,

  • Perform fusion and mechanical splicing

Install an In-Class Location

Connect a small network using your skills to:

  • Prep and terminate a simulated location

  • Conduct a signal test

  • Complete documentation

Class Options

We have a class that may fit your schedule. We have weekday and weekend classes available in the classroom and online. Online students should register as early as possible and allow 4-6 weeks for toolkit delivery. Registration deadlines are usually noon on the Monday before the first class day.

Taking Our Online Courses

Tools are essential for completing hands-on skills training especially for our online classes. You can purchase our toolkit or purchase tools on your own. Please ask for our checklist so that your tool purchases meet class requirements. With our toolkit, you’ll be equipped for your first job on day one. If you order our toolkit, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. To see what’s included in the kit, visit the online toolkit section.

All online students must attend an orientation before the first day of class. This will help you become familiar with our video conferencing tools and confirm you have all required equipment for the class.

Registration

What to Expect After Completing Our Course

Upon completing our course, you should have the skills to perform entry-level tasks as an in-house technician or independent contractor. Although we cannot guarantee job placement, we will refer you to our partners and former clients for work opportunities. Also, we will consider you for available openings on our projects. You will also have access to our instructors/contractors upon obtaining your first assignment. We're happy to answer questions and provide guidance as much as possible to help you succeed.
