Fiber Job-Readiness Skills Training Overview
In our 2-day course, we teach basic fiber skills in Marietta, Georgia, near Atlanta. We can help you start your fiber career faster without certification. Instructors offer courses in-classroom, online, and on weekdays and weekends. Our school provides study materials, equipment, and skills training. With the FiberNexxt Way™, you'll receive step-by-step training, including cable prep, fusion splicing, connector ID and termination, and basic testing a work-like setting. The program includes two additional hands-on classes: SkillBuilder Splicing and SkillBuilder Testing. All SkillBuilder courses are non-certification classes, and students earn a Certificate of Completion. ​​

2-Day SkillBuilder Splicing & Testing, Standard Online Fee. $695, live online course $2500 Tech Too; Set, total online cost, $3095. Tools are essential for gaining hands-on experience. Online students are responsible for purchasing their tools. Students can purchase our toolkit or purchase equipment on their own. What You Learn In Our Course
We specialize in helping you learn the basic skills used in splicing and inside/outside plant installations. Our training covers:
Basic Cable Prep and Splicing

Perform mechanical and fusion splicing
Basic Connector Termination and Testing

Terminate cables and connectors, including mechanical connectors.

What to Expect After Completing Our Course
Upon completing our course, you should have the skills to perform entry-level tasks as an in-house technician or independent contractor. Although we cannot guarantee job placement, we will refer you to our partners and former clients for work opportunities. Also, we will consider you for available openings on our projects. You will also have access to our instructors/contractors upon obtaining your first assignment. We're happy to answer questions and provide guidance for your first assignment after graduation and help you succeed.

Pathway to Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certification
We would love to help you pursue FOA Certified Fiber Optic Tech certification. You can earn credits using SkillBuilder courses. Register for an FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician class within a year of completing a SkillBuilder course and receive course and financial credits as follows:

2-Day SkillBuilder Classroom. Receive course credit for Days 2 and 3 of CFOT training and a $795 savings off standard fees.

2-Day SkillBuilder Online. Receive course credit for Day 2 of CFOT training and a $595 savings of standard fees.

1-Day SkillBuilder. Receive a course credit for Day 3 of CFOT training and a $595 savings off standard fees.

With either option, students are responsible for paying the course fee balance at registration, $800 or $1000 respectively. Also, you will need to complete the missing sections required for certification, theory day, Day 2 or 3, and the class demonstration project. depending on the SkillBuilder course you completed. This option cannot be combined with other discounts. Call us if you have questions or for scheduling details.
