What types of training do you offer?

Our school offers FOA CFOT and ETA® FOI certification training. This training teaches you solid fiber optic theory, provides you strong hands-on skills, and gives you certification upon passing the course exam. Also, we offer non-certification, job-readiness courses that give you the same essential hands-on skills without a course exam.

Who certifies your training?

The industry-recognized organizations, the Fiber Optic Association and The Electronic Techinicians Association International (ETAI®) certify most of our classes. The FOA has certified technicians since 1997. They certify two of our three basic classes, and three advanced specialist courses. Upon passing the course exam, students earn an FOA certification. We also offer the ETAI® Fiber Optic Installer (FOI) training, our third basic certification course. ETAI® has certified over 200,000 You may also take non-certification, job-readiness classes that offer real-world skills, and earn a Certificate of Completion.

What can I expect after finishing your training?

On day one after graduation, you are job ready! You can work as an entry-level technician or independent contractor. If you took one of our certification class and passed the course exam, you will have FOA or ETAI certification, industry-recognized credentials.

What are the job prospects for fiber techs?

The future is good! According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for telecomm fiber installers are predicted to grow by 8% through 2031. A CFOT or FOI certification can lead to specialty roles, including lead technician, network designer, and field supervisor.

How much do fiber classes cost?

Course fees vary depending on the course you choose. The typical 4-Day FOA CFOT Iis $1695 and the 5-Day FOI is $1895. Register 4 weeks in advance for a savings of $300 off our standard fees. Also, you save about $200 when you take our classes online. See your class' page for full details or call us.

Do you offer scholarships or discounts?

Yes! Save $300 off standard fees by registering 4 weeks in advance. You can also save by taking our course online for a savings of $200 off our standard fees. See your class' page for full details or call us. Another way to save is through group registration. The group rate for the 4-Day FOA CFOT classroom is $1195 ($995 online) per person. For our 5-Day ETAI FOI program, the group rate is $1395 classroom ($1195 online) per person. Group rates for other classes are available on a class-by-class basis, so call us for details. All group members must register at the same time to qualify for the rate. Currently no scholarships are available.

Do you offer financial aid?

No. However, we offer access to Buy Now Pay Later programs and the option to spread courses and payments over four to five months. Many of our classes may be covered by company tuition reimbursement programs. We also offer a Pauy As You Go Program for our 4-Day CFOT and 5-Day FOI courses. How long are your courses?

Course length varies depending on the course you choose. Our courses can last 1, 2, or 4 days.

What time do classes start?

Our classes start at 8:00am and end at 5:00pm each day.

How do I register a group?

We offer a group rates for teams or groups of 4 or more students. Teams and group members must register on the same form, at the same time. Please call (678) 515-0115 for details.

Do I need to buy equipment for this class?

If you come to our classroom, we provide the necessary equipment and tools. If you take our live online course, you will need to purchase our toolkit or purchase equipment on your own. We want to give you an experience using the same tools used in our live class. The online course toolkit costs $2500 for most FOA classes and $2900 for the ETA class.

Do you offer job placement services?

While we do not guarantee a job after completing our class, you will have access to job opportunities through our partners and former clients. FiberNexxt will also consider program grads for our projects when openings are available.

What are the benefits of fiber tech certification?

The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts 8% growth for telecommunications equipment installers (includes fiber techs) through 2031. Certification may increase your earning potential. Do you take referrals and how does it work?

We welcome referrals! Join us in helping students get fiber training. Our Referral Partners tell their friends about our training and earn a $150 commission. When friends register, referrals must give the partner's name and ID code, and pay for their class. Upon receipt of payment, we mail commissions within in 3-5 business days.

Are your contractors certified?

Yes! All FiberNexxt contractors are certified by industry-recognized organizations, especially from FOA or ETA®. Proof of certification is available upon request.

What length projects do your fiber contractors handle?

We take on a wide array of assignments. We specialize in short-term projects, the jobs too small for large contractors. Our project can last from one day to a few months or more.

What types of fiber jobs do your fiber contractors handle?

Our fiber contractors can handle a variety of fiber jobs. Company assignments include inside/outside plant projects, cabinet installations, splicing small and large count fiber cables, ribbon splicing, terminating mechanical and traditional connectors, and managing loss testing. We have terminated cabinets, pedestals, enclosures, and wall mounts. Our team has also installed fiber communications systems.

Where are most of your fiber assignments?

FiberNexxt has worked mostly in Georgia and Florida. Our assignment locations have included Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. We have also served offshore in the countries/locations of The Bahamas, Dubai, Jamaica, U.S. Naval Station Quantanamo Bay, and Turkey.
