Ribbon Splicing Skills Training in Advanced Splicing

You know what it takes to be an effective fiber technician. Our qualified instructors can help you advance your career at our fiber school in Marietta, Georgia near Atlanta. We offer the Certified Fiber Optic Specialist, Splicing (CFOS/S) certification from the Fiber Optic Association (FOA). Trainees learn ribbon splicing and mid-entry cable preparation, both are in-demand skills.

Our class builds on the skills learned in our CFOT courses. You gain advanced techniques for managing fiber cables and connectors. Skills include:

Turning single fibers into 12-count or higher ribbon cables

Standard Classroom Registration. $995​
Standard Online Registration: Online option is unavailable for this course.
Registration Bundles. Combine CFOT certification with a CFOS class and get the CFOS class for half off.
1-Day CFOT Bundle. Classroom: $1495; Online: $1195
4-Day CFOT Bundle. Classroom: $2195; Online: $1895
Prerequisites: The FOA requires CFOT certification (4-Day CFOT or 1-Day CFOT) before attending this class. Students must provide proof of certification or take one of our CFOT classes.
​Schedule: Classes are scheduled by request, typically the first two weeks of each month. Please provide three (3) dates, in order of
preference, for your class. We will review your request and contact you to confirm your class date.

What to Expect After Completing Our Course
Upon completing our course, you should receive:

FOA CFOS/S certification upon passing the course exam

in-demand skills to perform basic to moderate splicing tasks as an in-house fiber technician or independent contractor

Although we cannot guarantee job placement, we will refer you to our partners and former clients for work opportunities. We will also consider you for any available openings on our projects. You will also have access to our instructors/contractors upon obtaining your first assignment. We're happy to answer questions and provide guidance as much as possible to help you succeed.
